Roller coasters.
Riding on a roller coaster gives you a feeling of exhilaration that is amazing. That sinking sensation in your stomach as you hit the crest of the highest hill and barrel towards the earth. It is all at once the best and worst feeling in the world. Best because you feel alive, worst because you'll spend the rest of the day chasing that feeling again. Knowing that today's the only day you have all summer to spend at the amusement park.
I heart chain restaurants. I know it isn't cool for a young hip single who lives in the city to admit to enjoying such mundane suburban activities as chain restaurants. However, today? I do not care what others think of me. I'm here to sing the praises of those chains (with the exception of Applebee's b/c that's gross).
TGIFriday's, Chili's, Ruby Tuesday's, The Outback, Red Lobster and The Olive Garden are just a few of my favorites. I don't believe the food is excellent, but it is comfort food and most chains offer the best special of all.
The 22oz draft beer.
You can enjoy it with your Friday's Jack Daniels Sampler, your Chili's baby back ribs, your Tuesday's salad bar, your Outback Victoria's Filet, your Red Lobster garlic cheese biscuits or the Garden's all you can eat soup, salad and breadsticks.
How can you go wrong? See you at lunch!
I'm having one of those days. One of those days where you can't really pinpoint exactly why you feel a little off. It isn't hunger. It isn't lack of sleep. It isn't a hangover. I'm not sick. Nothing super special or tragic has happened, but I still feel off.
To celebrate, you must view one of my favorite scenes.
Just got back from San Francisco and it was great, but very tiring. So much so that I accidentally turned on the gas from the back burner of my stove and then slept with it going all night (HI Roommate! Don't worry, everything's fine! You're out of town!) So, I got up this morning and am pretty sure that I'm on some kind of gas poisoning high. BUT, I'm alive, so that's all good, right?
In any case...photos!
In this winter of the WGA discontent (and I'm all for it - DVD and Internet residuals for all!) we are searching for something to watch on television. Now, I'm not going to tell you what shows are excellent or bad, but I will tell you about a show that is excellently bad! That show is One Tree Hill - the ladies at Go Fug Yourself said it much better than I could have, but I have to say, reading this entry, it was almost as if they were in my apartment for the two hour premiere.
I don't know about those girls, but we're hoping they devote an entire show to James Lafferty getting a haircut and a shave. I mean, come on, it worked for Dawson's Creek!
